The Science Discovery Fair turns the whole ground floor into an exhibition hall. Every class presents experiments, models and demonstrations, and visitors are encouraged to ask questions directly to the children standing beside them.
What visitors will see
Exhibits are chosen and built by the children themselves across the term. Topics come from the curriculum but the framing is entirely up to each class.
- Working experiments demonstrated live throughout the morning.
- Models built from everyday and recycled materials.
- Hands-on tables where visitors can try things themselves.
- A section on the science behind everyday life at home.
- Short student presentations running on the hour.
A child who has explained their experiment to five strangers over one morning will remember the science for years.

Who it is for
The fair is open to all Edulife families and to prospective parents who would like to see how we teach science. Younger siblings are very welcome; several tables are designed for small hands.
Why we hold it in December
By December the term's science work is complete but not yet examined, which makes it the ideal moment to look outward. The fair closes the science term with celebration rather than revision.
