Every child in the school speaks. That is the promise behind the Young Speakers Showcase, our termly celebration of spoken English and confident presentation.
What the showcase is
Over one morning, children from every class take the stage in front of their families. Younger pupils deliver short prepared pieces, older pupils give full talks and group presentations. The tone is celebratory rather than competitive; there are no rankings and no winners.
- Every child in every class speaks at least once.
- Pieces are developed in class, in ordinary lesson time.
- No memorised scripts beyond what the child has chosen to prepare.
- Families are welcome to attend, record and applaud.
A child who has spoken to a full hall once will never find a classroom audience frightening again.

How children are prepared
Preparation happens entirely inside the school day. Teachers work with each child on pronunciation, pacing and eye contact in short daily sessions in the weeks beforehand. Nothing is set as homework, and families are never asked to rehearse at home.
Coming along
The showcase is held at the Luxmichari Campus and is open to all Edulife families, including those from Khagrachari, as well as to prospective parents who would like to see the school in action. Refreshments are served afterwards.
